Design Process
Analyzing Old Things
We explored a design space to understand the degree of domestic product's diversity. The design space was applicable to identify the requirements and design elements of IoTIZER for various everyday products.
Defining Key Features
We analyzed the design space and defined two key features required for IoTIZER. Designs that compatible with various existing products and that applicable to different types of interfaces were explored.
Iterative Prototyping
We performed iterative prototyping for two purposes. The first was to find the aesthetic form factor. And the second was to test the mechanism for movement of the device and physical manipulation.
Getting Feedback
in Real World
We collected feedback from target users via a co-creation and in-field interviews. We tried to verify if IoTIZER is accepted by users. Specifically, we focused on the feasibility and usability of IoTIZER in terms of installation and operation in a real domestic environment. Participants were overall satisfied with the design of IoTIZER and co-creation results.
